Academic Report: Identification and Application of EMG Signals
Speaker: Prof. Han Jianda
Title: Identification and Application of EMG Signals
Time: Mar. 5, 2018
Place: Room 506, Building No. 6 of Science Park
Abstract:
The report focuses on frontier issues regarding processing and application of surface EMG signals, especially on handling of signal loss, signal decomposition, user adaptability, and continuous motion estimation. As for medical applications, the EMG signal based rehabilitation and acupuncture and moxibustion will be discussed.
Introduction of Speaker:
Prof. Han is a Distinguished Professor and supervisor of doctoral students at Nankai University. He also serves as a visiting researcher at National Key Laboratory of Robotics, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Science, a subject matter expert of intelligent robots under the national 863 plan, a member of the expert panel for preparing specific guidelines for robotic researches under the national key R&D plans in the 13th Five-Year period. He has many years of researching experience in robotic technologies and systems, specifically in technologies of robot autonomous behaviors, special movable robots (especially those move on ice/snow surface and hence applicable for scientific investigations in polar regions), flying robots, and medical medical robots.
